iHeat publish 9.9% APR Representative (Fixed) on solar. The 0% you saw on a boiler advert does not apply here. We won’t copy a boiler 0% line onto this quote.
Terms run 24 to 120 months. Solar-only is from £4,295, or from £89 a month. Heatable will draw the roof in 3D. They don’t publish an APR. There is no Boiler Upgrade Scheme money on solar. We priced the cash floor on solar panel cost. 0% VAT to 31 March 2027 is tax, not a grant, and we set that out on solar panel grants.
If you want the cash figure first, start with our solar panel cost page. 0% VAT is tax, not a grant; the detail is on solar panel grants.
The short version
iHeat 9.9% APR 24-120 months, from £4,295 or from £89/month. Heatable 3D quote, no public APR. 0% VAT to 31 Mar 2027 is not 0% finance. No BUS.
How iHeat finance works
iHeat is the installer that puts the APR on the solar page. That published solar finance rate is why they go first here, the same logic as a named heat-pump model putting iHeat first. People looking for solar panels on finance usually want that monthly, not a brochure.
On 19 August 2026 their finance page listed 9.9% APR Representative (Fixed). Terms run 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84 or 120 months. Deposit is 0% to 50%. They recommend 25% for the best rates. Credit is provided subject to status by V12 Retail Finance. iHeat acts as a credit broker, not a lender. HomeBoiler is neither.
That example is not the £4,295 floor. The floor is an All Black 450W solar-only package, monthly from £89. The example is a round £10,000 system with a 25% deposit over 60 months, so you can see how the APR behaves. If you want to finance solar panels through a published rate, this is the page that actually shows one.
0% APR on iHeat is for heat pumps and boilers. It is not on solar. Do not copy a boiler 0% line onto this quote. Which? Trusted Trader and MCS are on their solar page. Octopus Trusted Partner is an installer badge, not our quote path.
What Heatable actually offer
Heatable will design the array. They will not show you a finance tariff on a public solar page. That is the honest split. Get the 3D quote so you have a second price. Do not wait for an APR that is not on the site.
The hardware pitch is LONGi Hi-MO X10 485W with a microinverter on each panel. MCS installer number NAP-68602. Which? Trusted Trader. Batteries they name with PV: Alpha ESS, Sigenergy and Tesla Powerwall 3.
Finance for solar panels is still credit, subject to status, even when the VAT line is 0%. Heatable’s “pay nothing ’til 2027” marketing is that VAT timing. It does not mean the installer waits until 2027 to be paid, and it does not mean 0% APR.
From-prices and example monthly
iHeat’s solar page is the public price list. Heatable’s is the design tool. Use both. Other iHeat models exist (LONGi 480W, Aiko and larger batteries). The floors below are enough for a first look.
| Package | From (inc VAT) | Monthly from | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solar only, All Black 450W | £4,295 | £89 | iHeat public floor, 19 Aug 2026 |
| Solar + Hanchu 3.7kWh | £6,145 | £128 | 450W array plus battery |
| Representative example | £10,000 | £165.00 | 25% deposit, 60 months, total payable £12,400 |
| Heatable | 3D quote | Not published | No public APR or monthly figure |
Source: iheat.co.uk/solar and iheat.co.uk/solar/finance, 19 August 2026. Monthly from-figures are iHeat’s. APR is 9.9% Representative (Fixed). Heatable have no public row.
iHeat is the published route if you care about seeing 9.9% and a monthly before you draw the roof. A larger array, scaffolding, bird mesh or extra electrics can sit outside an online floor.
Want storage as well as panels?
This page is monthly payments on the array. If you want a battery with the panels, or battery-only, use solar battery storage. Heatable sell Alpha ESS, Sigenergy and Tesla Powerwall 3 with PV via Heatable battery. iHeat stay on iHeat solar (solar plus battery from £6,145, battery-only from £3,645). Do not treat the battery link as the primary CTA here.

No BUS on solar. 0% VAT on qualifying supply-and-install until 31 March 2027 is tax relief. iHeat’s published APR on solar is 9.9% Representative (Fixed). Do not copy boiler 0% onto this page.

Common questions about paying monthly for solar
Credit is subject to status with V12 Retail Finance. iHeat is the broker, not the lender. HomeBoiler cannot approve anyone. Typical lenders want a UK resident, a bank account, and a check they can run. Your quote shows the offers.
No on iHeat’s finance page. They publish 9.9% APR Representative (Fixed). Their 0% is heat pumps and boilers. Heatable’s “pay nothing ’til 2027” line is 0% VAT, not 0% APR.
No. 0% VAT on qualifying supply-and-install until 31 March 2027 is tax relief. You still pay the installer. You still repay credit if you take it.
iHeat allow 0% to 50%. They recommend 25% for the best rates. The representative example uses £2,500 on a £10,000 system.
No. BUS is a heat-pump grant. It does not pay for solar. SEG, not FIT, is how export is paid once you have MCS and a smart meter.
No. There is no public finance page for solar. Do not copy iHeat’s 9.9% or boiler 0% onto Heatable.
This page was last updated on 19 August 2026. iHeat figures are from iheat.co.uk/solar and iheat.co.uk/solar/finance. Heatable figures are from heatable.co.uk/solar. We are not a credit broker, lender or installer. Quotes and credit sit with iHeat and Heatable.
Battery-only monthly sits on /home-battery-without-solar/, not this solar APR page.
